1. Which building typology you are researching?

-I'm searching hotels

2. Why are you researching this building typology?

-Because I wanted to build my own hotel and start the business. Also, I wanted to build a creative hotel that looks different from others.

3. What is the specialty of this building type you would like to research i.e. museum for dance, school for digital media...

-It's a hotel with reception, lobby, lounge, restaurant, gym, spa, and guest rooms.

4. What are the examples that you will be researching... list the examples, location and architect (10 examples).

1. Condo #314/214

2. Hershey Hotel

3. Prince Quay Hotel

4. Quattro Hotel

5. Radissor

6. Warwick Hotel

7. Hotel Gansevoort
8. Cantera

9. Liberty Hotel

10. Chateau Laurier Hotel

5. What are you goals for working with this building type?

-My goal is to design a small hotel with necessary facilities that customers need and give them beautiful view from guest room and spa. It's going to be interesting that people can have a nice view from where they look.

6. What are the program elements that you see included at this point in your building? (may evolve once more research is done)

-There will be lounge, restaurant, gym, and spa.

  1. on question #2 your answer was too personal. ir you think like an owner "business person" your intention would be to create a building that attracts costumers by providing not only exterior aestetics but interior experiences that are unique to your site. For instance, a hotel that has a lounge, bar and restaurants and rooms is not very captivating in comparison to a hotel with a "casino". Think mohegan sun or foxwoods ( i suggest to visit their websites to get ideas for the program)
